About

 North Park Community Church

WHO?
We are a local church affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren conference of churches. The Mennonite Brethren began as a revival movement within the Mennonite Church. That resulted in a group of churches that no longer held to the quaint “old ways” sometimes associated with the Mennonite churches. Mennonite Brethren churches place an emphasis on every person’s need for a personal relationship with God, through faith in Jesus Christ. Mennonite Brethren also value community and service to others. We also support alternatives to violence.

WHEN?
We’ve been in Eugene for 41 years, most of those on the corner of Harlow Road and Honeysuckle. We currently hold our worship/praise service on Sundays at 10:45 AM, with a social time before, starting at around 10:15 AM. In addition, we have several on-going Bible study meetings: Please check "Activities" for details.  Everyone is welcome at our meetings!

WHAT?
We really want to be a church that serves the neighborhood around us! We plan to have some fun event either Friday or Saturday evenings at least once a quarter. Down the road, we have plans for a Bluegrass evening, movies, and, of course, some more dinners!

WHY?
We love people! God has blessed our lives both individually and corporately, and we want to share His love with everyone! We have a vision of our church as a valued, serving church in the neighborhood. We want to help make this area an even better place to live. We are convinced that once someone hears and understands who Jesus is and what He offers, that person will want to follow Him. We have found that following Jesus brings peace, love, joy, and order to our lives.

YOU'RE INVITED!
So, you are invited to come to our worship service! It’s informal. We don’t dress up. What we do is sing, share, pray, and learn together. About halfway through the worship service (just before the sermon) we dismiss children grades 2 and younger for Children’s Church. This provides activities, crafts, a Bible story, and singing for the children. We have a social time, with snacks, from 10 AM to 10:45 AM each Sunday. Our services start at 10:45 AM on Sunday morning and usually end around Noon or 12:15 PM. You will find us to be friendly and welcoming. You’re invited!
